A Tale of Two Gardens

My tomatoes are finally starting to come in.  I have cherry tomatoes and chocolate cherry tomatoes showing up now.  Sunday I picked around a pound or two.  Those, combined with some lovely cucumbers from Liisa‘s garden were mixed in a vinegar/dill sauce that I whipped up to create the perfect summer snack.

Thank you Liisa for sharing your cucumbers!  They really made this snack a treat!

Summer Snack Recipe

  • 2 cucumbers, sliced
  • 1/2 lb cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 red or white onion, sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 – 2 tsp Pampered Chef Dill Mix (or substitute fresh dill or other herbs)

Mix vinegar, water, sugar, and Dill Mix in a separate container.  Pour over cucumbers and tomatoes.  Toss or stir gently to combine.  Serve immediately or chill as desired.
