Why Making the Bed is Hard

I should have started filming when she was completely encased under the fitted sheet, but I’m not that smart.  Nanook likes to “help” make the bed.  Tonight I have a lovely bleeding scratch on my pinky to show for it.  There would have been more injuries, but she was a little distracted with the birds outside the window.  Enjoy.

Vintage Funny

I’ve recently been going through my books/magazine/leaflet stash in an effort to thin the herd.  Yesterday, I stumbled up my vintage leaflet collection.  Among some of the designs that made me giggle, was this one.

Knit Pajamas, Circa 1973/74

Yes, those are full body footie pajamas with a knit butt flap.  I kind of want to make a pair, just to say I’ve done it.  Perhaps my first child will be forced to endure the knit butt flap jammies of wooly doom…

Creative Blocking

Ever worry that the beautiful sweater you just made won’t fit the girls? You know you should have added shaping, but for whatever reason, you didn’t.  My friend Punkin has come up with the solution.

But this poses the question, do you use bowls of the appropriate size?  Do you use two different sized bowls if you’re a bit lopsided?  And a co-worker asked, do you add little marbles to the top of the bowls?
